Library Card Art Contest Rules
presented by the Buckeye Public Library and the Arts & Culture Division
1. Artwork must be family-friendly, in color, and visually engaging.
2. The words “Buckeye Public Library” must appear clearly in the design.
3. Dimensions:
- 2 1/8" x 3 3/8"
Include a minimum 1/8" bleed on all edges
4. Designs must be created in landscape orientation. No A.I. may be used in the creation of the art.
5. How to Submit
Complete the printed template and return to the library, or submit a digital design. Be sure to complete the entry form.
Only correctly sized artwork will be considered.
Metallic and fluorescent colors are not supported by the printer.
6. Age Categories
Child: 0–12, Teen: 13–17, Adult: 18+
7. Prizes
- One winner will be selected from each category.
- Winning designs will be printed as official Buckeye Public Library cards.
- Winners will be featured on the City website (buckeyeaz.gov/arts) and the library’s social media.
- Each winner receives a $100 gift card. (Only one gift card per winning design, even if multiple artists collaborate.)
8. Logo Space Required Leave space in the bottom-right corner for the Buckeye, Arizona logo (1" wide × ½" tall).
9. Voting and Submission Limits
- Online submissions will be capped at 300 total entries.
- Physical submissions will be accepted beyond the online cap.
- The top five finalists in each category will be selected.
- Public voting online will determine the winners. A link will be sent after submissions close.
- In the event of a tie, City staff will make the final decision.
